In the after math of disasters, there is need for enforcing strict Fire Safety regulations in Industrial, Commercial, Assembly, Institutional, Hotels, Hospitals, Malls, Multiplexes, transport terminals and Tall Building Complexes and need for safety drills as a compulsory practice. This three days programme on Fire Safety Management and Fire Engineering advanced technology has been designed to examine the issues in-depth. With the support of eminent expert in their fields. The programme will provide valuable insights, in the subject so as to pave the way for improved life and fire safety technology

The aims & objectives of the IFE (India) to promote, foster, enhance and augment the science, practice and business of Fire Extinction, Fire Prevention, Fire Engineering and all functions connected therewith. It is engaged in educating professional Fire Service Officers and conducts Graduateship Examination in Fire Engineers. The Institution publishes a technical journal “Fire Engineer”. The Institution is associated in formulating Fire Engineering Standards and Code of practice by Bureau of Indian Standard. The Institution has set up a full fledged independent unit with a team of competent experienced and qualified Fire Service experts to render Fire Protection Consultancy Services to various organization on project basis.

Institution of Fire Engineers (India) has made a serious endeour to organize 7th event of “Fire India – 2009” from 18th to 20th Feb.’2009. The conference is being organized by “The Institution of Fire Engineers (India)”, alongwith a big Fire exhibition on Life Safety & Fire Protection Communication, Search, Rescue systems, Para medical equipment and various other latest products in the Fire Engineering Technology.

 
The Conference

The theme of the conference is “Need to Look Beyond Fire Codes”. The 3 days conference will be divided into 8 Technical sessions covering topics related to problems in Industries, High Rise Complexes, Hotels, Hospitals, Educational Institutional Malls, Multiplexes and assembly Residential, Corporate and Commercial complexes as well as infrastructure for setting up IT Parks and SEZ.

The technical papers will be presented by eminent professional experts from different fields of various countries. Each Conference session will be chaired by very senior renowned expert person. This will be indeed a great opportunities for all those concerned with decision making for procurement and implementation of Fire Safety Schemes. Fire Protection Consultants, Insurance Surveyors/Loss Assessors, Fire Service Officers, Safety managers, Architects and Engineers to participate in the Conference and to visit exhibition. Experts from International field will present Technical Papers on various topics on latest Fire Technology, Fire Prevention/Protection and Security requirements.

Call for Papers

Organizers hereby invite technical papers for presentation during Fire India – 2009. Authors interested to present technical papers may send willingness by intimating topic of their paper relevant with theme of the Conference. Authors are requested to contribute two hard copies of their paper, alongwith CD in Microsoft word or pagemaker set up. The paper abstract of about 500 words should be forwarded alongwith brief C.V. of the Speaker. Drawings and figures should be prepared on CAD 2000. The paper should have not been published earlier or presented in any other Seminar/Conference. Papers selected for conference will be published in Conference Technical Book. Author of each paper shall be registered as delegate free of charge to attend full conference. While full text of paper can be submitted later. The author should communicate their intention of submitting the paper alongwith the abstract/synopsis to The General Secretary, Institution of Fire Engineers ( India ) with E-mail ID & Telephone contact early but not later than 31 st December’2008 .
