The Council shall have the power, on application to the Council in prescribed form, to transfer into the class of Member an Associate or Graduate Member who, to the satisfaction of the Council, possesses the following qualifications:-
(a) (1) Has passed the membership examination of the Institution of Fire Engineers (India) or (U.K.).
or
Has passed Bachelor of Fire Engineering Examination from a recognized University.
And
(2) Has been actively engaged in the profession of Fire Engineering, Fire Fighting or Fire Protection for not less than five years.
or
b) (1) Has been an Associate Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (India) for not less than five years.
And
(2) Has been actively engaged in the profession of Fire Engineering, Fire Fighting or Fire Protection work for at least five years.
